BA, MEd & MSc, CPCA & ACTA-CT

In my therapeutic space, I also support individual adult clients to evaluate patterns, explore their inner experiences, increase awareness of emotions and gain tools to help you thrive. I work from a collaborative approach, informed primarily by Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based and Poly Vagal theoretical and practical approaches to therapy.

About Theresa

I’m a counselling professional based in Alberta with a deep passion for helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. I’m an active member of both the Association of Counselling Therapists of Alberta (ACTA) and the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA), and I'm currently in the process of becoming a licensed Provisional Psychologist.

My educational background includes a Master of Science in Psychology (Walden University), a Master of Education in Educational Leadership (Memorial University), and a Diploma in Professional Counselling Therapy (Kelowna College). I also hold a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Windsor.

To provide effective and compassionate care, I’ve pursued specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy (Green Stream), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I’ve also completed coursework in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Psychological Assessment, and Counselling Children, among others.

On a personal note, I love gardening, taking long walks with my rescue chihuahua/terrier, and diving into a good book—usually with a cup of artisanal coffee in hand. I’m originally from Ontario but have called Alberta home for the past 15 years. I love cooking (baking, not so much) and look forward to NFL season every year!
